Who we are

The APPG for Maths and Numeracy was started in March 2014. No parliamentary group dedicated solely to maths and numeracy had existed until then.  The Group aims to investigate ways of improving the mathematical skills and understanding of children and adults, to raise public awareness of the importance of good numeracy.

Chairs

The group is currently co-chaired by Barry Sheerman Member of Parliament for Huddersfield, and Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Member of Parliament for Berwick upon Tweed. Visit our entry on the register of all-party parliamentary groups to view our elected officers.
